The Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba in Ciego de Ávila, Liván Izquierdo Alonso, and the Governor of People's Power, Tomás Alexis Martín Venegas, called for the 2022-2023 sugar dispute to be brought forward in this central province.

The foregoing responds to the fact that the repair of the industry, with a planned base to date, exceeds 110 percent in the Ciro Redondo and Ecuador plants, including the colossus of Primero de Enero, which is also ready to assume any contingency both in this territory as well as in the surrounding provinces.

To this strength is added the fact of the good technical condition in the repair of machinery such as harvesters and trucks for pulling, as well as the guarantee of the cane and the political commitment of the leaders and workers of the sector.

The advancement of the 2022-2023 harvest in Ciego de Ávila, at the end of October or beginning of November, constitutes a strategic principle and a decisive factor to efficiently fulfill the planned plans.
