Provincial de Béisbol arrancará en noviembre

As a consequence of the fact that the 62 National Series will start in March of next year, and not in September as planned, the provincial baseball match in Ciego de Ávila will begin in the first days of the coming month and should last until the second half of December.

The Provincial Commission studies the format that will be used in the fair, but the one with the most consensus is the one that stipulates dividing the tournament into the North and South zones, in the first one with Morón, Bolivia, Chambas, Primero de Enero and Florencia and in the other would be Ciego de Ávila, Venezuela, Baraguá, Majagua and Ciro Redondo.

Each team would play six games against their four rivals, making 24 games. The first two places in the keys would go to the semifinal playoffs and the winners would dispute the title, always in the playoff of five games to win three.

The foregoing would guarantee that Los Tigres' training sessions begin in January for a little over eight weeks.

The last Provincial Championship was held in 2020 and the title was discussed by Ciro Redondo and Primero de Enero, the latter becoming champion in a disputed playoff.

Ciego de Ávila players in the Elite League

Judging by the optimism of Isaac Martínez and Roger Poll, the two coaches from Ciego de Ávila who will accompany the mentor Héctor Huelga in leading the Ganaderos team in the Elite League, the Ciego de Ávila players have completed the preparation with a view to the start of the fight next Saturday.

In total, there are eight players from this province who will wear the suit of the group also made up of representatives from Camagüey and Sancti Spíritus: Osvaldo Vázquez, Raúl González, Rubén Valdés, Héctor Labrada, Liosvany Pérez, Yander Guevara, Luis Marrero and Dachel Duquesne.

Although the official schedule for the event has not yet been announced, Invasor learned that on the 25th, 26th and 27th of this month, the Ganaderos will be able to be seen in action at the José Ramón Cepero stadium.
