Pronostican gran afectación eléctrica para este viernes

The Electric Union reports that yesterday the service was affected due to a deficit in generation capacity throughout the day. The maximum impact during the night hours was 1,442 MW at 7:30 p.m., coinciding with the peak hour, of which 114 MW were due to the damage caused by Hurricane Ian.

A maximum impact of 1,150 MW is estimated due to a deficit in generation capacity during daytime hours.

Units 6 and 7 of CTE Mariel, unit of CTE Otto Parellada, unit 3 of CTE Santa Cruz, CTE Antonio Guiteras, unit 4 of CTE Nuevitas, unit 2 of CTE Felton and units 4 and 6 of CTE Rente. Unit 3 of the CTE Rente is undergoing maintenance.

Limitations on thermal generation (435 MW) are maintained. In distributed generation, 1,083 MW are unavailable due to breakdown and 690 MW are undergoing maintenance.

For peak hours, the entry of unit 3 of the CTE Santa Cruz with 60 MW (in the startup process) and the entry of 98 MW in diesel engines is estimated.

With this forecast, an availability of 1,942 MW and a maximum demand of 3,290 MW are estimated for the peak hour, for a deficit of 1,348 MW, so that if the forecast conditions are maintained, an affectation of 1,418 MW is forecast for this hour, of them 110 MW for the damage caused by Hurricane Ian.
