The global initiative of the IGF as a space for annual debate in which international organizations, governments, Internet professionals, companies and civil society organizations can explore, on equal terms, the development of the Network of networks and their interaction with other areas of public power was born as an agreement of the World Summit on the Information Society, held in Tunis, in 2005.
