The Ciego de Ávila Electric Company reports that yesterday, Wednesday, the deficit in generation availability reached a maximum of 66 megawatts (MW) during peak hours.

The average of affectation by circuits was 10 hours and 20 minutes, while the maximum demand in Ciego de Ávila occurred at 7:00 at night with 110 MW.

For the present day, a deficit of 50 MW is estimated in the province.

The maximum impact on Wednesday night was 1,117 MW at 7:20 p.m., coinciding with peak hour, of which 21 MW were due to damage caused by Hurricane Ian.

A maximum impact of 600 MW is estimated due to a deficit in generation capacity during daytime hours this Thursday.

Units 6 and 7 of the CTE Mariel, the CTE Otto Parellada unit, the CTE Cienfuegos unit 4, the CTE Nuevitas unit 4, the CTE Felton unit 2 and the unit 5 of the CTE Rent. Unit 2 of CTE Santa Cruz, unit 5 of CTE Nuevitas and unit 3 of CTE Rente are under maintenance.

The limitations in thermal generation are maintained, in the order of 375 MW, while in distributed generation, 1,016 MW are unavailable due to failure and 692 MW are undergoing maintenance.

With this forecast, an availability of 2,168 MW and a maximum demand of 3,200 MW are estimated for the peak hour, for a deficit of 1,032 MW, so that, if the forecast conditions are maintained, an affectation of 1,102 MW is forecast at this time.

The Ciego de Ávila Electric Company prepared the following schedule of damages in the event of a generation deficit, for the week of October 31 to November 6.
