More than 90 percent of compliance is found, in the Roberto Rivas Fraga Popular Council, in the nomination assemblies of candidates for delegates to the Municipal Assembly, a transcendental democratic process that constitutes the basis of the Cuban electoral system.

The Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, CDR, 4 and 5 of demarcation 47, in the south of the main city, unanimously ratified Julio Cesar Moreno Quintero last night, who has served as a delegate for more than 11 terms.

Similarly, with wide participation, residents of CDRs 6, 7 and 10, from constituency 116, elected Dagoberto Astengo by majority vote, and Eduardo Alcalá Ortega, current delegate and president of the popular council ratified.

Once the candidate nomination process is completed, which should last until November 11, the biographies will be prepared with the photos of those who were elected, which will be displayed in the public and busiest places in the communities.

The elections to select the delegates to the municipal assemblies of People's Power for a term of five years will be held on November 27 in the first round, and on December 4, in the second round, in the constituencies where none of the candidates obtains more 50 percent of the valid votes cast.
