The Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Inés María Chapman Waugh, evaluated this Sunday in Ciego de Ávila the sustainability of the water supply in light of the complex energy situation in the country.

During the meeting at the People's Power Government headquarters, Chapman Waugh confirmed how most of the pumping stations continue to be protected in the province with Generators, both for the population and for agriculture.

Deputy Prime Minister Inés María Chapman Waugh acknowledged that this central province has stable work, with sanitation being the most complex situation due to obstructions and waste dumping.

Despite the energy contingency, Ciego de Ávila does not register towns where water is supplied in nine days, with the exception of delivery by tanker trucks with cycles of up to seven days.
