    Jorge Martínez Wilson, from the 81 kilograms division, eleven times medalist in national championships and the best judoka from Ciego de Ávila of all time, ensured his participation in the first qualifier in Panama City (November 26 and 27), with a view to to the next Central American and Caribbean Games to be held in San Salvador, El Salvador, from June 23 to July 8 of next year.

    After four years without competing abroad, Martínez, who has accumulated five gold medals, three silvers and the same number of bronze medals in the backyard battles, commented exclusively for Invasor, that he is ready to start the path of classification with a view to participating in the Central American Games in San Salvador, El Salvador, next July.

    His record also includes the silver medal in the Belgian World Cup in 2013, the bronze medal in the Pan American Games in Lima 2019 and first place by team in the Central American and Caribbean Sports Games in Barranquilla, Colombia, in 2018, —his last international competition— where his fight defined the first place for the Cuban squad.

    "I feel good from a technical and physical point of view and I have incorporated new techniques into my arsenal, especially sacrifice (Sutemi Waza), legs (Ashi Waza) and combinations (Renraku Waza)," he commented via WhatsApp.
