Spanish professor is distinguished with the emblem of arms of the Ciego de Ávila University

For his educational contributions to the preservation of heritage, the Spanish professor Antonio Ortega Ruiz was distinguished this Friday with the shield of the Máximo Gómez Báez University of Ciego de Ávila.

The foregoing transpired during the closing of the International Heritage Diploma that for the 50th anniversary of the Unesco Cultural and Natural Heritage Convention was taught at the Ciego de Ávila house of higher studies.

Antonio Ortega Ruiz is the Coordinator of Cultural Heritage at the International University of Andalusia based in the world heritage city of Baeza-Ubeda.

The International Heritage Diploma in Ciego de Ávila surpassed almost sixty specialists, including academics, museologists and students of Tourism and Management for Development.
