The member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, reaffirmed this Monday in Ankara, the will to strengthen bilateral relations in their different spheres.

This meeting was part of the first day of the official visit of Lazo Hernández to this Eurasian country. The Turkish Foreign Minister expressed in a tweet that aspects such as economic relations and inter-parliamentary cooperation were addressed, especially in fields of mutual interest.

On the day, the head of the Cuban legislature, and the parliamentary delegation, also met with the President of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, deputy Akif Çağatay Kılıç.

Both parties agreed on the vast potential for cooperation projects in various sectors and on the strategic role of legislative bodies with a view to promoting and making each of the initiatives effective.
