Tercer día consecutivo sin que la Unión Eléctrica pronostique apagones por déficit

The Electric Union (UNE) reported that yesterday the electricity service was not affected due to a generation deficit.

The statement indicates that the availability of the SEN at 07:00 hours is 2,660 MW and the demand is 1,965 MW, without affecting the service due to capacity deficit in the SEN.

Units 6 and 7 of the CTE Mariel, unit 4 of the CTE Nuevitas and unit 2 of the CTE Felton are out of service due to a breakdown. Unit 8 of the CTE Mariel and units 3 and 4 of the CTE Renté are under maintenance.

Limitations on thermal generation (329 MW) are maintained. In distributed generation, 856 MW are unavailable due to failure and 583 MW are under maintenance.

For peak hours, the completion of unit 6 of Boca de Jaruco with 10 MW and the entry of 276 MW in diesel engines are estimated.

With this forecast, an availability of 2,946 MW and a maximum demand of 2,820 MW are estimated for the peak hour, for a reserve of 126 MW, so if the forecast conditions are maintained, no affectations to the service are forecast due to capacity deficit, although work with low reserve levels during this schedule.
