Under drizzle, a representation of the people of Ciego de Ávila celebrated today the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, during a political-cultural act that took place in the municipality of Ciro Redondo, distinguished as the most integral due to the sustained advances in production, the economy and the services to the population.
The highest authorities of the host territory recognized the organizations with the greatest contribution to development, including the base business units of Industrial Technical Services and the Basic Electric Organization, and the Telecommunications and Ciro Redondo Sugar Agro-industrial companies.
Likewise, the municipal directorates of Culture, Labor and Social Security, Education, Public Health and Sports; and the baseball team (first category) Las Panteras, champion of the 44th provincial series of the national pastime.
Liván Izquierdo Alonso, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary of that political organization in the province, and Tomás Alexis Martín Venegas, governor, extended recognition to the territories of Florencia, Majagua, Primero de Enero and Ciego de Ávila, because of their outstanding status.
For excelling in the Decisive Effort stage, convened as part of the political movement developed in Ciego de Ávila and in salute to the triumph of the Revolution, 30 entities for the production of goods and services were stimulated.
Local artists entertained the celebration, during which the people of Ciego de Avila reaffirmed their commitment to advance in the political, economic and social spheres to carry out the revolutionary work.
