The local development project Servtes-Desarrollo, from the municipality of Morón, in Ciego de Ávila, strengthens its work in the strategic axes of the Cuban economy by guaranteeing the vitality of technological equipment through recovery, repair and maintenance works.
Alberto Gómez Abreu, founder of Servtes-Desarrollo, explained exclusively to the Cuban News Agency that, despite bureaucratic obstacles, they consolidated their services during the current year, not only in the town where the project is located, but also beyond from its borders.
In this 2022, they strengthened, from science, technology and innovation, their specialized technical assistance and reached entities and institutions in Villa Clara, Sancti Spíritus, Camagüey and Guantánamo, Gómez Abreu added.
The Health sector -he said- has been the most favored by our work, mainly in the laundries of hospitals and nursing homes, by fixing the large washing machines, many in deplorable states and ready to be taken down.
We sanitize and paint the bad parts of this equipment, which is corroded by chlorine and detergent acids, and we also repair the electronic component, Gómez Abreu, an automatic engineer graduate from the "Marta Abreu" Central University of Las Villas, claimed.
He noted that among the health institutions that received the collaboration of the members of Servtes-Desarrollo this year are the nursing homes of the municipalities of Chambas, Primero de Enero and Ciego de Ávila. They also reached the military hospitals of Santa Clara, and the provincial ones of Ciego de Ávila and Sancti Spíritus.
In the same way, they acted in the soft drink industry, which prevented the stoppage of the lines and substituted imports.
At the Morón factory, they recovered a Kaeser brand compressor that was out of service, and at the one located in the provincial capital, they restored the useful life of the Coral soft drink sachet-making machine.
For central pivot and underground irrigation systems in Agriculture, we developed an intelligent control board, which was assembled in a company from Ciego de Avila where there are incipient results that could be much greater, the engineer said.
The Servtes-Development group is made up of very high-level specialists in the electrical, mechanical and automatic branches, capable of re-enlisting equipment so that they continue to operate and at the same time substitute imports.
Among the contributions that stand out is the manufacture of more than 100 Y-shaped connections, which they donated to Health to double the number of patients who could receive oxygen at the same time in the intensive care rooms of the two hospitals when in the In July and August 2021, COVID-19 had its highest contagion peaks in the territory.
So, it is worthwhile for this local development project to be hired more and officially deliver a space where they can do what they know how to do well, because they save resources and offer technological sovereignty, at a time when the Cuban economy seeks to grow amid serious financial constraints.
