Entitled "Ability to diagnose dermatological diseases in residents of the dermatology specialty", this award-winning research was carried out and applied at the Provincial Hospital of Ciego de Ávila.

That Grand Prize is convened every year by the Health Department to stimulate and recognize professionals dedicated to investigating medical issues of incidence in the territory.

In this edition, three mentions were awarded for the importance of the papers presented and these were "Giardinium in adults with giardia urticarial syndrome" by the doctor and Master of Science Yelec Estrada Guerra, in the category of applied research.

“Virtual didactic mediators for the management of scientific information in residents of medical specialties”, from the MsC Dinora García Martín, was also recognized.

The third mention was awarded to Dr. Jorge Luis Carrera Martínez, with the scientific work of Medical Education entitled "Professional improvement of the angiologist for the treatment of peripheral vascular diseases".

Every year, Health professionals are recognized for their commitment to research work and the study of the problems of the Health sector in the province of Ciego de Ávila.
