The consolidation of actions to improve the quality of life of the people is one more purpose of the workers of the Security and Protection Company (SEPROC) of the province of Ciego de Ávila, based on the commitment they assume with the National Transformation Program in Neighborhoods and Communities.
Yoelvys Vizoso Álvarez, director of the aforementioned entity, recalled that since 2021 they have been linked to constituency 30 of the Pedro Martínez Brito popular council, in the main city, where they invested their own resources to repair a family doctor's office (CMF) and a food store, so that they increased the level of benefits.
They supported the popular referendum on the Family Code and the municipal elections by enabling areas of the Farabundo Martí primary school for the operation of two schools, so that these spaces met the requirements established in the Electoral Law and contributed to the favorable results of the province in those political events.
He valued that the maintenance actions in that campus also reported benefits for the teaching-learning process.
Keeping the restored CMF in good condition at the end of 2021 and executing the remaining tasks in 2022 implied the disbursement of more than 10,000 pesos, a modest figure that does not exceed the social value of the works undertaken by forces of the entity, with community support, he explained.
He added that, at least once a month, they do voluntary work to maintain communal hygiene; meanwhile, the challenge is to add more inhabitants of the community to these activities, which requires greater links with the mass, political and social organizations represented in that demarcation.
He expressed the will of the SEPROC workers to influence other labor groups, with the aim of integrating them into the efforts of numerous companies in the province, under the guidance of the Communist Party of Cuba and Government, to improve life in different neighborhoods and communities.
Vizoso Álvarez specified that the work of his entity in constituency 30 of the Pedro Martínez Brito popular council contemplates care for people and families in vulnerable conditions, benefiting from the delivery of material resources that contribute to meeting basic needs.
They offered employment and managed enrollment in a day care center so that a single mother could join productive work, which favors her economic independence and fulfills the objectives of the national programs for the Advancement of Women and Attention to Demographic Dynamics.
Likewise, they help a family with four orphaned minors, he said.
The greatest satisfaction, he said, is that they are identified as "the company that serves us", based on their frequent presence to contribute to solving problems in that environment.
With the goal of achieving Ciego de Ávila Heartbeat condition, endorsed by the political movement of the same name, they intend to strengthen their social obligations, along with constructive improvements in the company, which contribute to public adornment and create superior conditions for compliance with the economic‒productive indicators.
