The Electric Power Company reports that yesterday, the electricity service was not affected due to a deficit in generation capacity.

The availability of the SEN at 07:00 this Wednesday is 2,160 MW and the demand is 1,830 MW, without affecting the service due to capacity deficit in the SEN.

It is estimated that during the daytime the service will not be affected due to capacity deficit in the SEN.

Units 6 and 7 of the CTE Mariel, unit 4 of the CTE Nuevitas, unit 2 of the CTE Felton and unit 3 of the CTE Renté are out of service due to a breakdown. Unit 8 of the CTE Mariel, unit 1 of the CTE Santa Cruz, unit 3 of the CTE Cienfuegos, unit 6 of the CTE Nuevitas and units 4 and 5 of the CTE Renté are under maintenance.

The limitations in thermal generation (361 MW) are maintained, while in distributed generation 822 MW are unavailable due to failure and 433 MW are under maintenance.

For peak hours, the completion of the combined cycle of Energas Boca de Jaruco (40 MW), the completion of generation in the Patana of Talla Piedra (50 MW), the entry of the combined cycle of Energas Varadero with 10 MW and the input of 325 MW in diesel engines.

With this forecast, an availability of 2,585 MW and a maximum demand of 2,680 MW are estimated for the peak hour, for a deficit of 95 MW, so that if the forecast conditions are maintained, an affectation of 165 MW is forecast at this time.
