Unión Eléctrica pronostica para hoy similar afectación a ayer

The maximum impact at night was 74 megawatts (MW) at 6:20 p.m., coinciding with peak hour.

The availability of the National Electro-energetic System at 07:00 hours is 2080 MW and the demand is 1710 MW, without affecting the service due to capacity deficit; It is estimated that during the daytime the service will not be affected for this reason.

Units 6 and 7 of the Mariel Thermoelectric Power Plant (CTE), unit 4 of the Nuevitas CTE, unit 2 of the Felton CTE and units 3 and 6 of the Renté CTE are out of service due to failure.

Unit 8 of the CTE Mariel, unit 1 of the CTE Santa Cruz, unit 3 of the CTE Cienfuegos, unit 6 of the CTE Nuevitas and units 4 and 5 of the CTE Renté are under maintenance.

Technological limitations are maintained in the thermal generation blocks in operation (316 MW).

In distributed generation, 800 MW are unavailable due to failure and 502 MW are under maintenance.

For peak hours, the completion of unit 6 of Energás Boca de Jaruco with 40 MW is estimated, the entry of unit 4 of Energás Boca de Jaruco with 30 MW, the entry of unit 3 of Energás Varadero with 20 MW, the entry of unit 3 of the CTE Renté with 70 MW, the entry of the mobile generation of Talla Piedra with 95 MW and the entry of 312 MW in diesel engines.

With this forecast, an availability of 2,637 MW and a maximum demand of 2,640 MW are estimated for the peak hour, for a deficit of 3 MW, so if the forecast conditions are maintained, an affectation of 70 MW is forecast during this time.
