The Electric Power Company (UNE by its Spanish initials) estimates for the night peak hour an availability of 2,451 MW and a maximum demand of 2,865 MW, with a deficit of 414 MW, so if the forecast conditions are maintained, an affectation of 484 MW is forecast in this schedule.

Starting at 6:20 a.m. the service was affected by high transfers to the central-eastern area. The availability of the SEN at 7:00 a.m. is 2,050 MW and the demand is 2,080 MW.

Units 6, 7 and 8 of the Mariel thermoelectric plant, 1 of Santa Cruz, 4 of Nuevitas, 2 of Felton and 3 and 5 of Renté are out of service due to a breakdown. Unit 4 of Cienfuegos, 1 of Felton, 4 and 6 of Renté receive maintenance.

The limitations in thermal generation are 218 MW.

In distributed generation, 869 MW are not available due to breakdown and 365 MW due to maintenance.

For peak hours, the entry of unit 8 of the Mariel thermoelectric plant is estimated, with 80 MW (in the start-up process), the entry of 5 of Renté, with 85 MW (in the start-up process), and the entry of 171 MW in diesel engines.

This Tuesday, the service presented a capacity deficit from 6:12 a.m. until 00:12 a.m. this Wednesday. The fundamental cause of the affectation time is the occurrence of two partial failures of the system in the central-eastern zone due to a forest fire under transmission lines.

The maximum impact at night was 1,018 MW at 6:50 p.m., coinciding with the peak hour.
