Feria instructiva acercará servicios informatizados a los avileños

That from the comfort of your cell phone you can pay for electricity, transfer money, request a birth registration or arrange an appointment to buy liquefied gas, are some of the benefits inherited from the computerization of a society that aspires to digital transformation.

However, today not all the people of Ciego de Ávila can fully enjoy them, in the absence of a culture that facilitates it. It is a scenario that the Ciego de Ávila branch of the Union of Informaticians of Cuba (UIC) of Ciego de Ávila intends to reverse, little by little, when, this Monday, in the morning, it will lead an educational fair to continue bringing computerized services closer to the population.

Duniesky Dorta Pina, president of the UIC in the province, explained to Invasor that the initiative seeks to broaden people's knowledge of the main services that have been computerized in recent times in the territory and that are part of daily life, from a space that teaches how to use them better and helps to know their functionalities and rules. In addition, doubts can also be clarified and knowledge put into practice with the direct advice of members of the UIC.

To this end, this first meeting will address issues such as the use of ATMs, the Transfermóvil and Enzona payment gateways, the Ticket application for requesting shifts in different institutions, applications and procedures in the Justice departments (Registration Civil and Property), as well as the tracking of packages in Cuba Post Offices and the acquisition of digital stamps.

Other entities involved in the computerization of these services will also arrive at the central Coppelia, located on the boulevard of the main city, including the Territorial Division of the Defense Information Technology Company (Xetid) and Credit and Commerce Bank (Bandec). The latter, from its profile on the social network Facebook, announced that he will be present at the fair with the delivery services of Multibancas cards and the implementation of Transfermóvil.

This promises to be the first of other editions, according to the president of the UIC in the province, since the intention is to be able to deepen and broaden each of these topics, as well as include others that, within this same purpose, may be of interest for the population. In the same way, it aspires to be able to extend this type of space to other places in the territory.

Recently, Ciego de Ávila enabled on the Ticket platform the online reservation of up to 10 daily shifts for the purchase of liquefied gas. Previously, through said application, reservations could already be made for procedures at the notary, the Civil Registry and the Property Registry, of the main municipality, as well as for the purchase of foreign currency in Cadeca.
