How do we dream of school? How do we want the country? What to do to achieve it? These are three of the questions that are currently stimulating debate within the Federation of High School Students (FEEM) in Ciego de Ávila, immersed in a process that places a critical eye on the organization's operation.

FEEM avileña por una organización más dinámica

Pedro Julio Gandia Muñoz, provincial president of FEEM, explained to Invasor that the most important moment of this organic process took place during the months of January and February, when the group assemblies were held—the main space for analysis and participation—, in which the bulk of the High School students spoke without qualms about the problems that afflict them, but also projected to achieve a greater impact in the communities and in those productive activities of importance for the development of the territory.

Concerns related to the implementation of the study plans and the contribution as students to the social project of the country that we defend came to light, according to Yaimara Pol Luis, a member of the Bureau of the Union of Young Communists that attends to the spheres of Education, Health and Sports, in a dialogue that, with total transparency, is committed to renew, from the base, the operation of an organization that only in Ciego de Ávila brings together more than 10,000 members, and whose main strength is youth.

As the provincial president of the FEEM detailed, the exchange will continue throughout the month of March, this time at the level of the 42 Secondary Education centers of the province, as an ideal space to think among all the renewing and dynamic organization that is wanted, and improve student life in these institutions.
