The Electric Power Company (UNE by its Spanish initials) reports that yesterday the service was affected due to a deficit in generation capacity from 05:58 to 20:00 last night (2:02 p.m.).

The maximum impact on the day was 412 MW at 6:30 p.m., coinciding with the peak hour.

The availability of the SEN at 07:00 hours is 2,550 MW and the demand is 1,840 MW, with the entire system with service. It is estimated that during the daytime there will be no affectations to the service due to a deficit in generation capacity.

The unit of the CTE Guiteras, unit 5 of the CTE Nuevitas and unit 2 of the CTE Felton are out of service due to a breakdown. Unit 4 of CTE Cienfuegos and units 4 and 6 of CTE Renté are under maintenance.

The limitations on thermal generation (318 MW) are maintained.

In distributed generation, 883 MW are unavailable due to failure and 355 MW are under maintenance.

For peak hours, it is estimated the completion of unit 6 of Energas Boca de Jaruco with 10 MW, the entry of unit 5 of CTE Nuevitas with 90 MW.

With this forecast, an availability of 2,690 MW and a maximum demand of 2,800 MW are estimated for the peak hour, for a deficit of 110 MW, so if the forecast conditions are maintained, an impact of 180 MW is forecast during this time.
