With a master class on the influences of jazz in Cuban music by “Dayron Oney Peña y La Familia”, the Seventh Piña Colada Music and Youth Symposium ended successfully in its twentieth edition.

The foregoing took place at the Barquito Cafe of the Young Creator House of the Saíz Brothers Association, while the morning session was held at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech pedagogical center of the Máximo Gómez Báez University in Ciego de Ávila.

The documentary "Trovándote sin parar" by director Jorge Luis Neyra was presented at the house of high studies, as well as the preliminary results of an investigation into the phenomenon of K-pop in Cuba (a genre of the popular Korean music industry), by the young musicologist Leyda Bravo, current Technical Deputy Director of the National Center for Popular Music.

The legacy of César Alberti from the Intermezzo orchestra, as well as the potential of electronic music as a popular danceable genre were other theoretical debates with profound repercussions during the recently concluded Seventh Piña Colada Music and Fusion Symposium.

At the close of this information, the inaugural parade of the Piña Colada would begin from “La Avenida de la Locución”, and up to the José Martí park, while tonight's concerts will be that of Arnaldo Rodríguez and Rumbávila Fusión in the Máximo Gómez Báez square, while in the Patio de Artex Cultural Complex, the Superparranda will be presented.
