Vence Leandro Marcos en etapa Camagüey-Ciego de Ávila de Vuelta Ciclística al Centro del país

Leandro Marcos, with two hours 17 minutes and 42 seconds, from the Cuba B team, knew how to avoid a massive fall some 200 meters from the finish line and crossed the sentencing line first in the Camagüey-Ciego de Ávila stage, in the First Cycling Tour to the Center, run this Tuesday over 106 kilometers.

After the experienced Marcos, leader of the still young lap, his teammates Jan Carlos Hernández entered, who is second in the individual general classification, and Alejandro Parra.

The flying goal at kilometer 31 (La Vallita) was dominated by Ricardo Cardoso (CUB-B), followed by Serguei Fernández from Ciego de Ávila and by Daivis Suárez, from Mayabeque.

The one at kilometer 36 (Florida) was dominated by Fernández himself. Jenny Gregorio (S.S) and Ricardo Cardoso (CUB-B) passed the wheel.

Randolph Izquierdo, a young man from Ciego de Ávila who runs for Cuba A, Ricardo Cardoso and Juan Cabrera shared the first three places at kilometer 79 (Gaspar).

As it was predicted from the beginning, the stage was difficult, according to several of the protagonists, due to the crossed air that forced the riders to submit to great efforts, since it was not possible for them to form a stair formation and there were many curbs and the squad splits up, as this time happened.

A 35-kilometer individual time trial is scheduled for today, starting in front of the Morón hotel and finishing line at the Roberto Castañeda Cycling Academy, in the capital city.

The tour through the Cuban central zone will have a little more than 600 kilometers of travel and will greet the 61st anniversaries of the Union of Young Communists and the 62nd of the José Martí Pioneers Organization.
