The Arnaldo Ramírez Agricultural Company is the first labor group in Ciego de Ávila to receive the May 1st flag, a banner that will travel to a total of 95 entities throughout the province.

The foregoing transpired this Sunday at the conclusion of a massive mobilization in the potato harvest, in which more than a thousand workers from all the unions at the provincial level participated.

Mariset Hernández Rodríguez, member of the Provincial Secretariat of the Central of Cuban Workers in Ciego de Ávila, argued that the May 1st flag recognizes vanguard groups for their social, economic and productive results.

The proletarian date for International Workers' Day is dedicated to the birthplaces of José Martí on his 170th anniversary and to the 95th anniversary of Ernesto Che Guevara.
