More than 17,000 members of the Union of Education, Science and Sports in Ciego de Ávila, get ready for the parade for the International Day of the Working Class, in which they will display banners, flags and posters with images of Fidel, Raúl and President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.

Ernesto Marrero Vega, general secretary of the Provincial Bureau of that union, reported that they would be located in the third block, from Máximo Gómez street corner 5 to Flowers Avenue.

The union leader added that students and professors from the three university campuses would be placed first; then those from the Party School, followed by workers from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (Citma) and Education, organized by educational levels.

The sports sector will close the block with the province's baseball team, the academies, the sports teams and the School of Sports Initiation (EIDE), all with various initiatives.

During the day prior to International Workers' Day, there were meetings with history, recognition of outstanding professionals and the tour of the May 1st flag through the work centers, which began this Tuesday by the Provincial Historical Archive.
