The Council of State of Cuba convened an extraordinary session of the National Assembly of Popular Power (ANPP) for May 25, whose agenda includes an update on the country's economic situation, it was reported today.

A note published in the Granma newspaper indicates that at this meeting, starting at 09:00 local time, the Social Communication Bill and the Legislative Schedule Proposal for the X Legislature will also be addressed.

Other topics of this second extraordinary session are the Constitution of the permanent work commissions and the Parliamentary Friendship Groups of the ANPP, according to the note, which adds that these deliberations will take place in the Convention Center in Havana.
