This Monday, with the purpose of contributing to strengthen the perception of risks among the population and in socioeconomic facilities, the National Day of Protection against fire begins in Ciego de Ávila, as in all of Cuba.

One of the essential objectives of the 57th edition consists of increasing the safety culture and demonstrating that fires are perfectly preventable, through prevention and adequate diagnoses in workplaces and in the residential sector.

Until Sunday, May 21, competitions, practical exercises, exhibitions, the award of the national Volunteer Firefighter I am contest and the traditional tribute to those who fell in the line of duty will take place in the province of Ciego de Ávila.

The creation of preventive habits that contribute to reducing the consequences of fires and promoting a massive movement that allows increasing the culture of these accidents in the new generations is part of the National Day of Protection against fire, which begins this Monday.
