The over-compliance of the production of goods and services at 105 percent in the Construction and Assembly Company (Conavil) of Ciego de Ávila is just one of the economic indicators that shows how the entity has redesigned its production strategies to stay afloat and boast a favorable financial situation, despite the deficit of resources and energy carriers.

This is explained by Pedro Manuel Évora Hernández, deputy director of Conavil, with the information that the performance of secondary activities, the linkage with non-state workers and small and medium-sized private companies, as well as the use of inputs objectively in those constructive actions identified as priorities has allowed them to operate with profits.

"The paving work carried out at the Jardines del Rey airport, in charge of the unit that works with hot asphalt, has paid us good dividends, as has the provision of transportation services and specialized teams to those who have had resources, but No means to carry out the works. It has been a learning process to implement the measures aimed at improving the state company and we are satisfied with what has been achieved”.

Compliance with the housing plan, starting from isolated constructions and not in high-rise building settlements, due to the ups and downs with steel, is another of the good news so far this year, to the point that in different points of the geography of Ciego de Ávila can discover the footprint of Conavil.

Other actions carried out include completing the physical plan for the aqueduct and sewage networks, which benefit the Housing Program and the vulnerable neighborhoods known as Las Yaguas and El Cartón, in the main city. It is added to this its participation with a select group of workers in the construction of the 26 de Julio Cement Factory, in Nuevitas; the advances in the execution of the Central-West Magistral Canal, and the completion of the waiting room for relatives of seriously ill patients at the General Antonio Luaces Iraola Provincial Hospital.

Likewise, the attention to eight constituencies and the support in cleaning and sanitizing tasks, the repair of polling stations, warehouses and a doctor's office give the measure of the company's social projection.
