The visibility of science, its impact in rural areas and the links among academia, government and production in the province, are some of the concerns at the Máximo Gómez Báez University of Ciego de Ávila (UNICA).

With the aim of reflecting on the matter, and taking action, the II Provincial Workshop on the impact of science on the socioeconomic development of the province took place at the UNICA headquarters, attended by teachers, directors of centers associated with the university, business leaders, CITMA specialists and territorial authorities.
