    Patria en guerra sin fusil

The improvement of the living conditions of the people who remain in social isolation in their homes (convalescent or suspected patients who suffer Covid-19) constitutes a priority for the Zonal Defense Council 05 Patria, in the municipality of Morón, where elemental revolutionary values are evident: dignity, dedication, humanism, altruism and solidarity.

José Ruiz Ramos, president of that institution, proudly refers to his workers and magnifies them by considering as part of this team all the people who, from different trenches, overflow efforts in the fight against the pandemic.

“It is a young group, with a high sense of responsibility and total dedication to its tasks, for which there is no defined schedule; all the times that they are required they are present. Their commitment to the citizens who need help.

“To the messengers, for example, you see them keeping an eye on carrying things promptly in order to maintain the vitality of homes in isolation and promote compliance with health protocols and measures guided by the Defense Council in its different instances.

“This is a war without a rifle, a war in peacetime, but a war, for which the country has provided the necessary resources. From our scope, we are only consistent with the situation and the efforts executed in a struggle based on the Martian maxim of "with all and for the good of all".

“We believe that we still have a long way to go. We are on track to do everything in our power to ensure that no one is left helpless. We always look for ways that allow us to support the most in need, in line with the policies established in the country.

The links with producing units in the territory of Morón strengthen the CDZ 05 and enhance its image in front of the population. “The initiative to bring staples such as fruits, meats and vegetables to families in confinement has had a great social impact, so we have won the recognition and trust of the people”.

“The greatest credit, of course, goes to cooperative members, fundamentally those associated with the CCS Ignacio Agramonte, who stand out, from the beginning of the pandemic, by conducting home sales, with discounts of prices ranging between 10 and 30%.

“On multiple occasions, they have delivered food modules for free to people with low income. A gesture of incalculable human value, because we not only carry material resources, but also a message of encouragement, peace and solidarity, in extremely difficult moments for everyone ”, Ruiz Ramos

    highlighted.

To the food support is added the transfer, in safe conditions, of vulnerable people (pregnant women, physically handicapped people, parents with underage children and the elderly) that require priority procedures (medical appointments, complementary examinations, vaccination, collection of social assistance ...) in the city of Morón, which remains in quarantine at being in the endemic phase of the virus with autochthonous-limited transmission.

“Our work allows us to gain space and authority, it positions us in better conditions to demand compliance with health protocols and allows people to join the popular confrontation with indiscipline that puts collective health at risk. Popular participation is decisive for the achievement of stability in the internal situation of the territory, taking into account that we are also facing an economic crisis and, in a complex scenario, the Ordering Task is implemented.

"We also have the unconditional support of the Integral Supervision team of the Municipal Government of the People's Power and the National Revolutionary Police, who rigorously apply Decree Law 30 and 31/2021 to punish conduct that contravenes the country's efforts to contain the pandemic and the monetary rearrangement.

Ruiz Ramos specified that other efforts are aimed at improving the active investigation to detect symptoms suggestive of Covid-19 and proceed immediately to the corresponding medical tests and transfer to isolation centers if necessary.

“In this sense, the demand in primary care for health is improved, decisive factor in this battle for which it is required to win in organization and quality of care provided by the family doctor's offices.

“There are many more things we can do, so we keep our ears glued to the town, as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Manuel Marrero Cruz recently suggested. This gives us the possibility to guide our performance based on the demands of the people. We got a responsability with the people and its recognition is the highest prize for the work we do ”, he concluded.
