    The progressive increase of the Nauta Hogar service in the municipality of Morón responds to the political will to advance in the process of computerization of society, in order to promote the massive and orderly use of Information and Communication Technologies (TICs by its Spanish initials) in daily life.

    Ramón Pérez Sánchez, head of the Principal Morón Telecommunications Center, stressed that 1,676 Morón`s families have this benefit in their homes to date and the Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) intends to extend it, probably starting this month, taking into account the strengthening of the infrastructure.

    The existing capacities benefit residents of the main city and the Turiguanó popular council, however, they differ from the demand in a municipality with a high population density, which confirms the need to continue working to expand this service, with an impact on the quality of life of the population, especially in times of pandemic.

    Pérez Sánchez highlighted that Nauta Hogar is installed by ETECSA workers, who assume the process of guiding clients on the use of this technology, which includes explanations and the provision of a procedure guide.

    The manager added that families from Ciro Redondo, Primero de Enero and Bolivia, municipalities under the jurisdiction of the Main Telecommunications Center in Morón, also enjoy the services of Nauta Hogar.

    ETECSA workers in Morón meet the demands of different organizations to enter electronic commerce, which includes the assembly of devices for payment with magnetic cards and connection through the Nauta platform.

    In order to achieve a digital culture, navigation services are also expanded to schools, pharmacies and other entities that offer services to the public, where this technology could favor the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes.

    Likewise, the creation of conditions for working with the Andariego application (apk) was guaranteed, in the Municipal Public Health Directorate, through which the active investigations carried out in the communities to detect the SARS-CoV-2 virus are maintained.

    Despite the complexities in the epidemiological situation, in a province that is going through the phase of limited autochthonous transmission, ETECSA maintains the vitality of the services, strictly complying with the hygienic-sanitary measures to avoid the contagion and spread of COVID-19.

    The daily self-checks of workers, the use of disinfectant solutions for washing hands and feet, and the establishment of foot disinfection carpets at the entrances to the units are some of the followed protocols. The Company guarantees the availability of substances for the sanitation of contact personnel (executives and operators who assist households to carry out installations and repairs).
