This Thursday, they were approved by the Temporary Working Group for the Confrontation and Control of COVID-19 in the territory, these regulations are due to the increase in positive cases, suspects and contacts, as well as the incidence rates of the epidemic per 100,000 inhabitants and a wide dispersion of the transmission of the virus during the month of May, which exceeds the previous record, registered on January 30.

The new measures take up the action models at the entry Control Points to both cities starting at 7:00 AM next Monday, which will limit the entry and exit of state and private cars, duly authorized in exceptional cases.

At the meeting, the paralysis of transport in the cities was established as of 4:00 PM, with the exception of vehicles linked to the confrontation with the pandemic and those that provide services to the economy. Once a day and, personally, the resident citizens inside and outside the perimeter, are authorized to buy the regulated products in the warehouses where they are registered, and in the same way, the peasants whose lands are far from the center of the localities will do it, to enhance their stay at the farms.

To avoid unnecessary crowds in the warehouses, administrators must organize the sale of regulated food, through couriers or using the number of the nucleus, and temporarily close the activities carried out by Self-Employed Workers (Jewelery, Repair of electrical equipment , Craftsmen, Tailor Dressmaker), while the candymen will only sell cake to go.

The measures include the strengthening of the main basic services of the population, with special attention to the areas decreed in quarantines and with active sources, and the reduction of the number of workers in the work centers, to promote remote work or telecommuting.

According to Carlos Luis Garrido Pérez, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province of Ciego de Ávila, the measures are maintained to close all services on the boulevard of this region at 3:00 p.m. and, the restriction of movement of people through this place and through other roads of the city and the communities from 6:00 p.m.
