    Ciego de Ávila`s citizens participate in a seminar on government services

    Participan avileños en seminario sobre servicios gubernamentales

    A look at the government services oriented from the internet, to facilitate the request for attention and issuance of necessary documents to the population for certain processes, constituted the online seminar given this Friday to representatives of the Provincial Government of People's Power of the province of Ciego de Ávila, through the Jitsi videoconferencing platform.

    Convened by the Higher School of Cadres of the State and Government of Cuba in coordination with the Institute of Administration of Shanghai, the meeting addressed the reform of the "Single Internet Service" from three dimensions, based on practice, effectiveness and applied experience since 2018, by the government of the aforementioned city of the People's Republic of China.

    According to Reina de la Caridad Torres Pérez, head of the Department of Information and Social Communication of the Provincial Government, the seminar made reference to the adaptation of administrative services to public services, using the Single Window as a content management system that allows documenting and publishing online different procedures related to the ones requested by the population.

    She added that the exchange encourages the preparation of public administration cadres in the generation of content and the use of platforms, in correspondence with the computerization of society to facilitate and increase online services and citizen participation in government processes and electronic commerce.

    Specialists from Information Technology Company for the Defense (XETID by its Spanish initials), the Computer Applications Company (DESOFT), the Department of Organization and Information Planning (DOPI), the Territorial Control Office of the Ministry of Communications and the Young Computer and Electronics Club of the province of Ciego de Ávila also participated in the virtual seminar.

    The collaboration between the Higher School of Cadres of the State and Government of Cuba and the Shanghai Institute of Administration began in June 2016 with the signing of the first Memorandum of Understanding for exchanges and cooperation in training, scientific research and technical assistance in public policies and business.
